However, the endorsement appears to have influenced Swift\u2019s standing among Republicans as recent polling indicates a notable dip in her popularity within the party.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,\u201d Swift wrote on Instagram after the debate. \u201cI\u2019m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman\u2019s right to her own body for decades.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift finished, \u201cI\u2019ve done my research, and I\u2019ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it\u2019s much easier to vote early. A new\u00a0poll<\/a>\u00a0conducted by J.L. Partners for DailyMail now reveals the impact of Swift\u2019s political stance in the 2024 presidential race. According to the survey, 57 percent of Republican respondents now view the 34-year-old superstar unfavorably, a dip from prior opinion surveys, whereas 71 percent of Democrats maintain a positive opinion of her.<\/p>\n

The survey also revealed that among Independent voters, 50 percent hold a favorable or somewhat favorable opinion of Swift, while 27 percent view her negatively. The information emerged alongside other findings indicating that a majority of voters attribute higher inflation, the border crisis, and the mishandled Afghanistan withdrawal to Vice President Harris. The poll, carried out between September 13 and 15, surveyed 1,054 likely voters shortly after Swift declared her intention to vote for Harris in the upcoming presidential election.<\/p>\n

The polling indicates that various voter groups are dismissing the significance of the endorsement. However, it remains a positive narrative for Swift among young voters who welcomed her support. Indeed, about 52 percent of individuals aged 18 to 29 reported they were more inclined to vote for the Democrat presidential nominee due to Swift\u2019s endorsement.<\/p>\n

James Johnson, co-founder of J.L. Partners, remarked, \u201cIt\u2019s finally happened: Taylor Swift has turned from Miss Americana to The Archer in the political crossfire.\u201d He added, \u201cShe is now viewed like many other things in American discourse, from the economy to news networks: through a partisan lens.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThough this one might not have had much of an impact immediately, if Swift is active in October in encouraging young people to vote, it could make a difference in swing states with tight margins,\u201d Johnson continued. \u201cHarris certainly needs her help: our polling shows that 18-29 year olds heavily support Harris but are also some of the least enthusiastic about their vote in November. If that changes, Donald Trump is not Out of the Woods just yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
