Demi Moore<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has offered further insight into her ex-husband\u00a0Bruce Willis<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 battle with frontotemporal\u00a0dementia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moore, 61, spoke candidly about Bruce, 69, at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday, October 13, sharing her perspective on the\u00a0Die Hard<\/em>\u00a0actor\u2019s diagnosis, announced in February 2023 by Bruce\u2019s wife,\u00a0Emma Heming Willis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is,\u201d Moore said at a festival event, per\u00a0People<\/em><\/a>, that honored Moore with the Career Achievement in Acting Award. \u201cBut for where he\u2019s at, he is stable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore, who was married to Bruce from 1987 to 2000 and shares three daughters,\u00a0Rumer<\/strong>, 36,\u00a0Scout<\/strong>, 33, and\u00a0Tallulah<\/strong>, 30, with him, expanded even further on her mindset.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I always encourage is to just meet them where they\u2019re at. When you\u2019re holding on to what was, I think it\u2019s a losing game,\u201d Moore told the audience. \u201cBut when you show up to meet them where they\u2019re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore added that she visited Bruce with the pair\u2019s granddaughter, Rumer\u2019s daughter, Luetta, 17 months, \u201ctwo days ago,\u201d sharing that she is committed to \u201cbeing able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bruce\u2019s diagnosis came after the Willis family announced in March 2022 that the actor had been\u00a0battling aphasia<\/a>, a language disorder that affects one\u2019s ability to communicate. A source\u00a0exclusively told<\/a>\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0in December 2023 that the entire clan, including Emma and Bruce\u2019s children, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, have served as pillars of strength throughout Bruce\u2019s health journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cBruce has good days and bad days, but in the last two months, there are many more bad days than good,\u201d the source said at the time. \u201cThis experience has brought the whole family even closer together. No one knows how much time Bruce has left, so they\u2019re soaking up every moment they get with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tallulah opened up about her visits with Bruce recently, telling\u00a0E! News<\/em>\u00a0on August 29 that the pair are\u00a0deeply connected<\/a>. \u201cOur visits have so much love and I feel that,\u201d Tallulah told the outlet, adding, \u201cAnd that overarches anything for me \u2013\u00a0 being able to have that connection.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI know he knows how much I love him. I know how much he loves me. I know how much he loves all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumer also\u00a0shared news<\/a>\u00a0of her father\u2019s health that month, responding to a fan question about Bruce via Instagram Stories on August 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is great. I love him so much. Thank you,\u201d Rumer wrote at the time, sharing a photo of the pair holding hands.<\/p>\n
