My job\u2019s usually pretty great. I love the hustle and bustle, meeting new people, and making sure everyone has a fantastic stay.<\/p>\n

Just as Matias started unbuttoning his shirt, the door burst open. Paige stood there with Sarah right behind her.<\/p>\n

\u201cPaige! I\u2026 I\u2026\u201d Matias stammered. \u201cThis isn\u2019t what it looks like!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cReally?\u201d Paige spat. \u201cBecause it looks like you\u2019re about to cheat on me. Again!\u201d<\/p>\n

I stood up and removed my wig.<\/p>\n

\u201cActually, Matias, I\u2019m Leslie. I work here at the hotel.\u201d<\/p>\n

The color drained from his face as he realized he\u2019d been set up.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow could you?\u201d Paige yelled at him \u201cI trusted you! All those business trips, all those late nights at work\u2026 How long has this been going on?\u201d<\/p>\n

Matias tried to reach for her, but she backed away.<\/p>\n

\u201cPaige, please, let me explain\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cExplain what?\u201d she shouted. \u201cHow you\u2019ve been bringing different women here every week? How you\u2019ve made a fool of me? I don\u2019t want to hear it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, she stormed out of the room. Sarah and I followed, leaving Matias alone with his shame.<\/p>\n

We met Paige in the lobby.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you,\u201d she said softly. \u201cI\u2026 I needed to know the truth. I\u2019m going to file for divorce.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re so sorry for this,\u201d I said. \u201cBut we had to\u2026 you know. I hope things turn out to be fine for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nShe smiled, nodded, and then left the hotel. A few moments later, we saw Matias exit the hotel with his gaze fixed on the ground. He couldn\u2019t face any of us.<\/p>\n

That was the last time we saw him.<\/p>\n
